Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been won on hard courts
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev secured his first title for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging year, managing just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the American major.
His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - caused him exiting of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's initial trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface since March of 2023.
The win also means Medvedev has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one distinct events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," commented ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching approach and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had prompted some to doubt if his capacity to perform at the elite level was over.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and play assertively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky opponent, taking 4 of the final five points to go ahead.
Both players swapped service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, striving for his first tour victory, took control to force a final set.
Moutet saved four initial chances in a tight deciding set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to serve for the match.
Appropriately, the winner secured the win with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to manage a return after a lengthy match.
