I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
